You should carry out this exercise with a test person with whom you have previously carried out the entire Elman induction. Carry out the following steps:

1. Explain what you expect from your subject.
2. Perform the shorter form of Elman induction in full.
3. Perform the shorter form of Elman induction in full.
4. Then lead your subject out of hypnosis by counting from 1 to 5.
5. After the exercise, ask your subject how they felt.

If you already feel confident enough, try to memorize as much of the induction as possible. The aim is to turn away from the script as quickly as possible so that you can concentrate fully on the respondent!
