Elman induction is so efficient not least because it follows a specific sequence. However, it also uses words with meaning. It may not seem very important, but the use of these words has an influence on the subject.
The power of control
The subject has the power of decision, the free choice.
“When you are ready, allow your eyes to close.”
Leading
You tell the subject what to do, you give him the command, so to speak.
“Now please concentrate on your eyelids…and allow the muscles of your eyelids…”
Omitting words
The word “numbers” is deliberately omitted here to avoid recalling them.
“There simply aren’t any more and you don’t care at all whether there are any left.”
